SUMMER LOVE

Target. Where else?

Honestly - best $20 I've spent in a long time. So far I've worn this:
  • To a cookout
  • To brunch [with a long sweater]
  • Doing errands
  • To a birthday party
  • As a beach cover-up
Each time I wear it people love it.

I went back to buy another one because when this one dies, I am going to need a backup - there were no more though so I am thinking you can only get this online now?

I got a medium and it is 100% true to size.

Love.

NOSTALGIA

This dress. This dress makes my heart oh so very happy. The shiny buttons. The piping. The ruffle. Oh, the ruffle. The little sleeve. Its A-line shape [perfect for a girl with hips]. I can't even tell you how much I'd wear this. There is even a chance I would sleep in it.

FIRST EVER GIVEAWAY!

Congratulations to Jennifer who said, "Lloyd Dobler rules! Love the tees..." Please email me from the link on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor.
********************************************************************************
AKA: Feel better, grow a moustache [updated: scroll down!]

In my book there is nothing better than a comfy t-shirt. You know those ones that you want to wear over and over and over. Enter Fuzzy Ink. OMG. I can’t remember where I first saw these but I just about died. Then I read some more about them and found out that not only do they have a tagless stamp for a label on the inside [key point to a comfy t-shirt] but each one is hand printed.

Mustache t-shirts + hand made = wonderful.

Right now there are six t-shirts that you can choose from:

My favorites are the Lloyd Dobbler [who in their right mind does not love him?!] and the Moustache Rides. So, after pouring over the site [and wanting everything] I got in touch with one of the Fuzzy Ink team members. Not only do they have great t-shirts but their peeps are awesome as well. I let John Paul know how much I loved their site and their products and you know what he did…he said he would hook us up with a giveaway. How cool is that?!

One lucky winner will win a Fuzzy Ink t-shirt [of their choice]:

I got 99 staches [but a beard ain’t one]

Stubble Trouble

Dirty Squirrel Escapade

Moustache Ride [smoothest ride you’ll ever find]

Stache Anything

Debonhair

Honestly, how do you choose? Also in your package will be some awesome stickers and [drum roll please] a novelty mustache.

Thank you Fuzzy Ink!

*Update: Fuzzy Ink would like to extend a 10% discount on all items for Lemon Pie readers. How sweet is that?! All you need to do is simply enter "Lemon Pie" as a coupon code at checkout for the discount. Now everyone can be a winner!

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

I am digging this {via lioness den jewlery} like something fierce. The lovely KareyM. posted about them on Kirtsy and they have pretty much been stuck in my head since. Not to mention I adore The Great Gatsby and everything it stands for.

TARGET ROUND-UP

While there are some things that I cannot compromise on [like work pants and jeans] for the basics and sometimes some great finds Target is where its at. You should also know that I spend at least one hour a week at Target. You have to be careful because with the good comes the bad and I have made some terrible Target purchases [read: crappy seams, shrinking when washing]. Below are some of my latest greatest finds. I'll also say that the Mossimo tank tops that come in about 6 different colors are the best tank tops for layering [or the gym] ever.
Merona blue and white shirt dress. 100% true to size. Albeit a little see through, this dress is perfect for so many different reasons. [note: the first day i wore this to work i neglected to wear a slip and had to go out at lunch to buy some new 'intimate apparel' don't let that happen to you]
The color of this shirt is called 'baby duckling' - that alone should make you want it. If you're not convinced yet, the top has some super sweet smocking-like detail and it is a little empire waist fitted so nothing will be clinging to you. Oh, and it has rouching. If it has rouching I am probably going to buy it.
Rouching and puffy sleeves?! You really can't do wrong here. Scoop neck and a great weight cotton make this an everyday shirt that looks great with just about anything. It also comes in a few different colors + v-neck.
I love white sweaters. Especially thin ones that I know I'll be wearing at night for the entire month of June. This shirt has quickly become a favorite. Quickly. It feels like a tee that you've had for 10 years and I just can't stop wearing it. The birds look black but they are actually a chocolate brown...and those light blue stripes? I need more.

Writing this is making me want to go to Target...

THE ELUSIVE FRENCH BRAID

Today = REALLY bad hair day. I switched up the shampoo/conditioner regimen and I really don't think it worked to my advantage. With the new addition of bangs [ the straight across the forehead kind] and a crazy amount of layers, I am a little limited as to what I can do with my mop. Attempting to forego the ponytail, this morning I whipped up a french braid. Partly because it is a super great way to tame my hair and partly because friends, the braid is back.

Anyway, someone just stopped me and said "Wow, a braid, remember when those were really popular?" Which kind of made me feel super un-cool but hey...if Lauren Conrad can rock it, so can I.

I SEE LONDON, I SEE FRANCE

I posted over at Sk*rt about these babies a few weeks back but I think that they deserve their very own post. These underwears are the most comfortable things I have EVER worn in my entire life. My only problem is that I wish I bought more than just one pair!

Crude Heart has perfected underwear. Cute, hot fitting and super comfy. Wear 'em alone or with pants. Either way, you'll be in love.
(They do run a little big so if you are on the cusp, go with the smaller size, you'll be glad you did.)

Ok...so quick, go get some now!

EIGHTY8WORDS

I love words. I always have. Words in books, words in the dictionary, words in the form of quotes....I eat it up.

When I came across eighty8words it was love at first sight. Each piece is handmade and carries with it a certain je ne sais quoi.

My favorites are "Smitten" and "Devoted." In each description there is a little quote that uses the word and most of them make my heart a flutter.

You seriously need to check this out.

THESE CITY STREETS

Saturday it rained and rained and rained and rained. Thankfully I had my new wellies. While the wellies saved my feet from being wet, my puddle jumping caused a little un-due wetness. I will say that it is fantastic to be able to step in puddles and just not care! It *almost* makes the rain fun! Honestly, I am not sure what I did before I had them. I can only imagine how miserable I would have been had I been stuck with a wet pair of trainers....ew....

At any rate, the pants dried, the Guinness made me warmer and the company made me smile. Maybe rainy days aren't so bad after all.

Also, I have not posted it here because I've been a little sheepish about it but, I am so thrilled to have been chosen as a general editor over at Sk*rt. The company of Sk*rt Editors and Sk*rt founders I am in is such an honor in itself! I am totally looking forward to bringing you and other web-savvy women awesome links to the world wide web. Get your Sk*rt on and see what all the buzz is about!
